Bittancourt Staff Housing

NDY Contracting is partnering with the Lady Minto Hospital Foundation to construct the Bittancourt Staff Housing project located on Salt Spring Island. 

NDY is serving as the general contractor on this 11200 sq. ft. multi-family residential construction, offering 18 thoughtfully designed apartment units. We’re collaborating with Jensen Group Architects Inc. and Waters Development Management to deliver this multi-unit residential project to the Lady Minto Hospital community. 

The Lady Minto Hospital Foundation is a non-profit organization that aims to preserve and build sustainable healthcare for the Gulf Islands community. Through strategic major projects, equipment purchases, and professional development, the foundation invests to secure the future of the on-island hospital. The Foundation acquired the former Seabreeze Inne, to help address the housing needs of the hospital staff and enhance recruitment efforts. The hotel will be transformed into multiple long-term rental units, offering local healthcare workers at Lady Minto Hospital more stable housing.

Construction has begun on this 18-unit residential project, and we’re pleased to deliver this much-needed staff housing to the Salt Spring Island Hospital community.
