North Shore Medical Imaging

NDY Contracting is currently managing the North Shore Medical Imaging project, a specialized commercial tenant improvement located in Squamish, BC. This design-build construction management project, in collaboration with Stark Architecture, is focused on transforming the client’s space to meet the unique requirements of medical imaging professionals while enhancing the patient experience.

The project scope includes the installation of medical trade fixtures and specialized imaging equipment, emphasizing technical precision. The building, owned by the client, is undergoing frontage and envelope upgrades to improve curb appeal and ensure the longevity of the structure. Additionally, several zoned mechanical systems are being implemented to maintain optimal conditions, while building controls and networks will be integrated across multiple locations to allow seamless operations across the client’s facilities.

Patient confidentiality is a top priority, and the design incorporates careful planning of circulation paths and material selection to support privacy. The layout also takes employee workflow and ergonomics into consideration, with strategic room and equipment placement to enhance both operational efficiency and comfort for medical staff.

In collaboration with the client, NDY has evaluated the pros and cons of their existing facilities to ensure that the new design maintains the best aspects of their current operation while eliminating pain points and redundancies. This project highlights NDY’s ability to manage complex medical tenant improvements, providing a tailored solution that prioritizes functionality, patient care, and the highest standards of operational excellence.
