In 2021, NDY Contracting Ltd. partnered with PearlSpace (then the Howe Sound Women’s Centre) to complete a full renovation and addition of their 3,945 Sq.Ft. building in Squamish. This renovation transformed aging residential suites into modern offices, boardrooms, treatment rooms, and kitchens, while adding new internal and external stair cores to improve safety and accessibility. The upgraded space allows PearlSpace to expand their essential services, including crisis support, counselling, and outreach programs, serving women, gender-diverse individuals, and their families in the Sea to Sky Corridor.

PearlSpace operates throughout the Sea to Sky Corridor, including the Skwxwú7mesh, Lilwat7úl, and Stl’atl’imx Nations, as well as the communities of Squamish, Whistler, and Pemberton. They offer essential services such as emergency housing programs, 24-hour response services, drop-in centres, outreach, and advocacy.

Following the 2021 project, NDY has continued as a project partner with PearlSpace, contributing to other projects such as Pearls Value and Vintage and creating safe housing options, including a transition house. These projects reflect our ongoing commitment to supporting PearlSpace’s vision of safe, inclusive communities where individuals can live free from violence.
